University staff and students can now enable Multi-Factor Authentication on their university IT account. Here we will show you how to set it up.

To enable MFA on your university account:

1. Go to Subscribe - https://subscribe.soton.ac.uk/
   
   
2. Click on 'Sign in to manage your existing account' and sign in using your university log in details
   
   
3. Select - 'Manage your account' > 'Password and Security' > Manage your Multi-Factor Authentication
   
   
   
   
4. Click the 'Turn on MFA' button to enable MFA for your account
   
   We also strongly recommend that you add a secondary contact email address which will let you reset your own password should you forget it. To do this:

1. Click the 'Manage your secondary contacts' Subscribe menu option
   
   
2. Add a personal email address in the field provided.
   Please log in to your personal email account and follow the steps in the verification email.
   Note, if you have not received the verification email, please check you Junk or Spam folder. If this still isn’t received please contact ServiceLine.
