Southampton Virtual Environment (SVE) - Configuring macOS Client for access to WVD
Microsoft have recently updated the way that macOS devices connect to their Azure Virtual Desktops (the technology which underpins the University's refreshed SVE service). If you are on macOS and were using the full client to connect to the old version of the service, you'll need to carry out a few simple steps to be able to see the updated instance:
If you see a resource pool called "Legacy Desktops - Do Not Use" (or do not see any resources at all) you'll need to remove your existing workspace, and add a new one:
Move your mouse to near the words "Legacy Desktops - Do Not Use" and a small set of icons will appear. Click the "Delete" icon, and then confirm by pressing the "delete" button:
Click the "+" icon to add a "New Workspace". Use the URL https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/api/arm/feeddiscovery when prompted, then click "Add":
You should now see the full set of resources that your account is enabled to access, as normal:
