Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme championed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), for organisations to demonstrate best practice in information security, ensuring that we maintain compliance against five control areas:

Information is at the heart of our University. It helps us achieve our goals and objectives and as a community, we need to make sure our information is safe and secure. As part of aligning our security activities with the ISO 27001 standard, the University has been reviewing and publishing a number of policies, standards and procedures.
