• These laptops are designed for high performance computational applications meaning it is big, heavy and often loud. Unless you need the extra power provided by a discrete GPU for your research, we recommend you consider the laptops above. Apple devices and peripherals

All Apple desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals are priced and ordered individually.

You must order your Apple device (and Apple peripherals) directly through Academia – The technology group.

To order an Apple device or peripheral, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 – Get your quote(s) from Academia

1. Go to Academia website
2. Sign in or create a new customer account. Please note: you cannot use your university username and password to sign in automatically to Academia.
3. You will receive an email from Academia (no-reply@store.academia.co.uk) asking to confirm your account
4. After confirming your account, you will receive another email from the same address
5. Sign in to your customer account
6. Find the device you need
7. Select the button Add to quote. The basket icon on the top of the page should show the presence of a new item / quote
8. Select the basket icon
9. Select the link View and Edit Quote Request
10. Select the button Submit quote request
11. You will receive an email from Academia with:
    • the details of the quote
      and
    • a downloadable PDF of the quote.

Please note: your quote will be valid for 30 days.

Step 2 – Order your device to iSolutions

1. Open the form "Apple Computer Purchasing"
2. Fill out the form. Please note that you will need:
   • a Business World Subproject Code
     and
   • how the device will be funded
3. Attach the PDF quote downloaded from Academia’s email
4. Select the button Submit to submit your request
