After downloading a package from software.soton.ac.uk, macOS users might see the following error message: "Apple can’t check app for malicious software" pop up.
You can open the software by following these instructions:
- In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open
- Avoid using Launchpad to locate the app
- Control-click or right-click the app icon
- Choose Open from the shortcut menu
- Select Open
