Apple cannot check app for malicious software

After downloading a package from software.soton.ac.uk, macOS users might see the following error message: "Apple can’t check app for malicious software" pop up.

You can open the software by following these instructions:

  1. In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open
  2. Avoid using Launchpad to locate the app
  3. Control-click or right-click the app icon
  4. Choose Open from the shortcut menu
  5. Select Open

Now the application should run correctly. If you are still facing issues, get in touch with ServiceLine.
