Disposing of empty toners and print cartridges

This article explains what to do if you need to dispose of empty toners and print cartridges.

The process described below will will ensure that the University:

  • Complies with strict waste regulations
  • Acts environmentally responsibly and in a sustainable way.

Instructions

Request a collection

If you need to dispose of waste / empty printer toners or cartridges, you can now request this through Planon Self-Service as follows:

1. Open Planon Self-Service

2. Select the Services requests button 

3. Fill out the Requester section

4. Fill out the Location of problem section. Please remember to add the room number:

Location section asking for the building, level, space number, and space name

5. From the Request details section, pen the Type of service drop-down menu  

6. Scroll down and select the option Recycling  

Request details drop-down menu. The option Recycling is highlighted

7. Use the Additional details box to add the number of toners / cartridges to be collected 

8. Select the button Submit to submit your request

 

Seal up a toner / cartridge

Please ensure that the toners / cartridges are in the clear plastic bags provided with the new toners.

Please remove all cardboard and polystyrene.

If you have a surplus of unused toner cartridges, please submit a ticket to ServiceLine for collection.
