How do I add documents or files to SharePoint Online (SPO)?

You can add files to your SharePoint Online site by doing one of the following (note that you cannot upload a file larger than 15GB in size)

  1. Uploading a small number of files:
Use your web browser to go to your document library (all sites have one called 'Documents' by default). Either drag and drop your files or use the 'upload' button to upload your files (note that drag and drop doesn't work in Internet Explorer).
  2. Uploading a larger number of files:
Use your web browser to go to your document library
Click the 'sync' button (note this only works on Windows or Mac PCs)
This will open up the OneDrive software and enable you to synchronise the library to your computer
Copy the files you need into the copy of the folder on your PC, the OneDrive software will then automatically upload the files to SharePoint Online.
  3. Alternatively, request iSolutions import files on your behalf:
Complete the form at Groupsite to Office 365 Migration
Supply the location where your files are coming from, note that iSolutions will need access to this.
We will contact you to agree a time for when your files are copied to your SharePoint Online site
