Outlook - Changing your language, date format, and time zone settings

This article explains how to change language and time settings in Outlook through Outlook Web Access.

Changing language, date and time format

1. Log in to Outlook with your university email and password

2. Select the settings icon (a gear) next to your profile picture:

3. Select General:

4. Select Language and time:

5. From there you can change the following settings:

  • Language
  • Date format
  • Time format

To change one of those settings, please:

  1. Select the arrow 
  2. Select the option that fits better for you
  3. Select the Save button to save the changes

Changing time zone

1. Log in to Outlook with your university email and password

2. Select the settings icon (a gear) next to your profile picture:

3. Select Calendar:

4. Select View:

Outlook setting. The column on the right shows the list of settings related to the "Calendar" tab. View is the first tab at the top of the list

5. Scroll down to the section Time zones:

The section Time zones is surrounded by a rectangular outline

From there you can:

  • Tick the option to update your time zone automatically when travelling across time zones
  • Set up your main time zone
  • Add other time zones.

6. Select Save to save the changes
