Reporting a fault in a Common Learning Space (CLS)

We visit these areas on a daily basis to ensure that, as far as possible, they are in good working order.

However, should you find a problem with the equipment, we provide an emergency service if you are involved with teaching or presenting in a Common Learning Space.

How to contact our technicians

Calling from the Common Learning Space you are using

Within each room, there is a contact number provided for you - we will be with you within 15 minutes of answering your call.

 

Emailing or calling from your device

If your enquiry is not urgent, you can email the details to ServiceLine@soton.ac.uk.

If you need urgent support or are unable to access your IT account, please call ServiceLine. We have a team of experts to help resolve your issue as quickly as possible. 

  • Internal calls: Ext. 25656 (or 73-25656 from the Southampton General Hospital site)
  • External calls: +44 (0)23 8059 5656

The phone lines are open 08:30 - 18:00, Monday - Friday when the University is open

 

Visiting iSolutions Tech Hubs

Hartley Library

If you are on Highfield Campus, pop into the Hartley Library and chat to one of our support experts. The helpdesk is in the main foyer on level 2.

It’s open Monday - Friday from 09:00 - 17:00 when the University is open.

Sir James Matthews Building (SJM)

You can also access in-person IT support in the Sir James Matthews Building. You can find the Tech Hub team inside the main entrance alongside the Student Hub.

Support is available from 8:00 am until the last lecture in the building has finished.
