How to add or update my contact details on the internal telephone directory

This article guides you on updating or adding contact details on the on the internal telephone directory using Subscribe.

Changing your contacts

To change your contact details in the internal telephone directory and set up public visibility permissions for your phone records, follow the instructions below:

1. Go to Subscribe

2. Select "Sign in to manage your existing account"

3. Enter your username (for example: AB1C22) and password when prompted

4. Under "Your personal details" select "Edit your contact details"

5. Select "Edit / Delete" and enter your University contact number in the first row (for example: 2xxxx). 

Contact details section

This is the number that the switchboard use to put calls through to you.

6. Once you have updated your contact details, you can choose to allow these records to be visibly public or not by marking them Public YES or NO.

7. Once completed, select "Save" to save the changes.

Please note, these details will only be made available outside the University if you have also ticked the public visibility of your personal details.

Adding new contacts

1. Go to Subscribe

2. Select "Sign in to manage your existing account"

3. Enter your username (for example: AB1C22) and password when prompted

4. Under "Your personal details" select "Edit your contact details"

5. To add a new record, select "Add" next to "Add a new record"

It will appear a new list of fields. From there you can add:

  • your phone number
  • your position
  • your email address
  • your room and building location
  • your Internal Post Code or Mailpoint
  • your Department / Unit
  • whether you want your contacts to be public or not

6. Once completed, select "Save" to save the changes. 

Please note, these details will only be made available outside the University if you have also ticked the public visibility of your personal details.
