Network Point Installation Request

If you would like to request the installation of IT network points across the University estate, you will need to complete a Network Point Installation Request

The cost per point is £500. There are additional costs for TRUST-managed buildings. The lead time for the installation may be affected by localised problems which will be discussed, should any arise. Please note that, within certain buildings on the University estate (such as Building 37), works may only be carried out at weekends, for which an additional charge will apply.

A site survey will be carried out in advance of the installation and you, or a representative, will need to attend this to confirm socket location – the timing of this survey will be agreed in advance.

You will require the following information:

  • The Building Number (not the name) in which you require network point installation
  • The Room Number for the installation
  • The Number of Network Points required
  • Agresso Subproject Code (9 digits, starting with a 5) which will be charged for the works
  • Whether or not this is part of an Estates and Facilities electrical installation

Once you Submit the form:

  • You will receive three primary emails – one to state that the request has been created, a second that shows to whom it has been assigned, and a final message letting you know that the request has been fulfilled
  • You will also be contacted to discuss your request further; for example, to arrange the site survey

The form can be found here: Network Point Installation Request Form
