Adding Business World (Agresso) Excelerator & BIF add-ins to Excel - Finance Staff

For Finance staff mainly.

In order to add additional functionality to Excel there are two additional software downloads that are required:

  • Unit 4 Batch file inputter x86/x64 (BIF) located in the software centre
  • Unit 4 Report Engine 9.5.104- (Excelerator) - ( current version as of Jan 2021) 

To locate these go to the additional software icon either on your menu or desktop screen. 

OR

Search for Unit 4

The following screen should be displayed. Select the required software you wish to install.


Instructions for BIF's

UNIT4 Report Engine 9.5.104
Once installation is complete the screen will update to show the following



How to check if installation is correct

Open Excel and select ‘Unit4 Excelerator’ menu at the top of the worksheet.


Select ‘Help’ to confirm you have the current version installed.


 
Add/amend Login URL


Following confirmation of successful installation, open Excel and select ‘Unit4 Excelerator’ menu at the top of the worksheet, then select ‘Login’. Complete your login details and select the ‘More’ button


 
Cut and paste the following URL into the URL box and select Login (see below)
https://u4bwws.soton.ac.uk/BusinessWorld-reportengine/service.asmx


Note: if this is your first time of using this functionality - you will need to raise a ticket to ask the Finance Systems Team to remove the single sign on function from your profile. Alternatively email serviceline@soton.ac.uk

Select ‘About’ to confirm you have the current version installed.


NOTE: If you are new to this function and are required to have access to process BIF's you will need to undertake training -
