Uninstall or remove apps and programs from Windows

You can uninstall or remove apps and programs from Windows in 4 different ways. They all deliver the same result, so which you use is personal preference. They are:

  1. the start Menu
  2. the Settings page
  3. the Control Panel (this way is for removing programs only)
  4. the Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter

 

Uninstall your app / program from the Start Menu

1. Select Start

2. Look for the app / program in the list 
3. Right-click on the app
4. select Uninstall

 

Uninstall from the Settings page

1. Select Start 

2. Click on Settings, then Apps, and then Apps & features

4. Click on it and select “Uninstall

Uninstall from the Control Panel (for programs)

1. Go to the search box on the taskbar and enter type Control Panel

2. Click on it from the results

3. Select Programs and then Programs and Features

4. Right-click on the program you want to remove,

5. Click on select Uninstall or Uninstall / Change.

6. Follow the directions on the screen.

 

Uninstall using the Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter

1. Download and launch Troubleshooter from the Microsoft support page Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed
2. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided by Troubleshooter
