Clearing Teams cache

This article guides you in clearing the Teams cache on Windows and Apple computers.

Clearing the cache on your device can solve the issues you’re experiencing on Teams and will not delete any data stored on your machine.

Please note:

  • Restarting Teams after you clear the cache might take longer than usual. This happens because the Teams cache files must be rebuilt
  • Any settings (such as the theme or the layout, for example) will be reset to default
