Using Jetbrains single sign-on to obtain an educational license

This article guides you on running a Jetbrains application on university-owned computers and personal devices.

Overview of getting a Jetbrains Educational license

To license Jetbrains products with an Educational License, all you need is a University account.

How it works

  1. Download the application
  2. Launch the installer
  3. Login with your university username (for example ab1c25) and password

This only has to be done once on each login, and on the first product that you run. If you choose to run another Jetbrains product during your session on the machine, it will automatically pick up a license.

The process is exactly the same for all applications in the Jetbrains Suite.

What to do if you log out

If you logout and then use a different PC, you will need to login again into the Jetbrains application.

The licensing process will work on any university-owned computer.
