Blackboard Ultra Migration Project

More like this

This article gives you an overview of the Blackboard Ultra Migration Project and explains the difference between Ultra and Original. The article also provides a link to help articles.

About the project

Blackboard, our virtual learning environment (VLE), is a core system used by students and staff across the University.

As we all know technology develops rapidly and it has been announced that Blackboard Original (current platform) will no longer receive further developments. We are also aware that a significant amount of our courses are falling below accessibility standards, so change is essential.

Over the next three years (2023 – 2026), the project aims to upgrade your Blackboard experience by helping you migrate modules from the current VLE to the latest, more enhanced version of the platform, Blackboard Ultra. The migration will happen in waves, please visit the project overview for more information.
