Accessing Blackboard and Teams as both student and staff at the same time

You can access Blackboard and Teams at the same time with your student account and your staff account by using two different browsers or from the same browser through a private / incognito browser tab.

If you try to log in to Blackboard or Teams with your student account from a different browser tab or window, you will be automatically logged in with your staff. This happens because of the Multi-Factor Authentication.

Accessing Blackboard and Teams through different browsers

To avoid confusion, we recommend keeping separate Microsoft logins as follows:

  1. Log in to your student account in a browser (Chrome for example)
    and
  2.  Log in to your staff account in another browser (Edge, for example)

Accessing Blackboard and Teams from the same browser through a private window

To access your accounts from the same browser, you will need to open a private window.

Private browsing allows logging in with different credentials per session.
