Accessing and downloading Adobe Creative Cloud software

This article guides you on downloading and accessing Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) on:

  • Your personal computer
  • A computer managed by iSolutions 

Instructions are for students of the Winchester School of Arts (WSA) and entitled WSA members of staff. 

Any other member of staff can request a subscription Adobe CC, though you will need to:

  1. Request a budget code from your line manager
  2. Provide iSolutions your budget code to purchase a subscription by raising a ticket to ServiceLine.

 

Accessing Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC)

Most Adobe Creative Cloud software have already been installed on all University Computers. 

If you need to access them, you can select the application you need and when prompted insert your university login and password.

Windows users can open the creative cloud application from the Start menu

macOS users can access the cloud application by:

  • opening the Application folder and selecting the Adobe Creative Cloud folder
  • selecting the Adobe Creative Cloud icon Adobe Creative Cloud icon in the top bar

What to do if you need to access and download your Adobe CC

1. Go to Adobe website

2. Select Sign in from the top right of the page

3. Sign in using your university email and password. Staff need to use their staff id email (for example: ab1a23@soton.ac.uk).

4. Select Manage your account

This should bring you to a new window where you can see your plan and what is included.

If you do not have anything included in plan, then please raise a ticket to iSolutions so our technicians can register you. 

5. Select the button Access your apps and services 

6. This should direct you to the cloud apps

7. Under the “Creative Cloud” box, select Install

8. This will install the cloud app on your personal computer

9. From here you can install the apps you need.

Accessing your files

Once you have logged in, you can also access your creative cloud files from File explorer (if you are using Windows) or Finder (if you are using a macOS):

Windows users

  1. Open File explorer
  2. Enter the name of the software you want to use
  3. Select the icon or the button “Open”

macOS users

  1. Open Finder
  2. Select the Creative Cloud folder that should appear in the side bar
  3. Open the software
