Office 365 email what is ATP

What is Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)?

New malware campaigns are being launched every day. ATP in Office 365 helps protect sophisticated attacks in real time. By protecting against unsafe attachments and expanding protection against malicious links, it complements the security features of Office 365 to provide better protection.

What happens to unsafe attachments?

All suspicious email content is analysed as the message is received and unsafe attachments are secured before being sent to recipients. This means your inbox is cleaner with better attack prevention.

What happens if I receive a malicious link?

Office 365 protects your environment if you receive a malicious link. Links and other URLs are examined in real-time if you click on them. If a link is unsafe, you are warned not to visit the site or the site is blocked.
