We all know that software updates are a bit of a pain – they take time away from our work and can often mean we might not be able to use our devices while the updates are downloaded and applied – but keeping your software and apps up to date is the single most important thing you can do to defend our devices against attackers and malicious software.
With recent cyber-attacks against other UK universities taking their entire IT infrastructures offline for weeks at a time, it is essential that each of us does our part to keep the University secure.
Additionally, our NCSC Cyber Essentials security certification is only valid if we keep all of our computer system, up to date.
